Horror is Alive & Profitable at the Aussie Box Office!

ANNABELLE: CREATION has held onto the number one spot at the Australian box office, earning $1,526,017 in its second week and taking its total to $4,588,668. While the film has slipped to number two at the US Box Office, it still took $15,500,000 and has earned a total of $64,044,221 thus far.

Interestingly the cinematic adaptation of Stephen King’s THE DARK TOWER debuted in the No. 2 spot locally, taking in $1,339,612.

Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.

David F. Sandberg (LIGHTS OUT) directs from a screenplay by Gary Dauberman, who also wrote ANNABELLE. Produced by Peter Safran and James Wan, the film stars Stephanie Sigman (SPECTRE), Talitha Bateman (THE 5TH WAVE), Lulu Wilson (OUIJA: ORIGIN OF EVIL, DELIVER US FROM EVIL), Philippa Anne Coulthard (AFTER THE DARK), Grace Fulton (BADLAND), Lou Lou Safran (THE CHOICE), Samara Lee (THE LAST WITCH HUNTER), Tayler Buck in her feature film debut, with Anthony LaPaglia (TV’s WITHOUT A TRACE) and Miranda Otto (THE LORD OF THE RINGS Trilogy).
