Shock Entertainment’s repertory imprint, Cinema Cult release two first-time in Australia to Blu-ray titles on April 18th. Wes Craven’s hugely underrated 1981 classic, DEADLY BLESSING and the slasher come monster feature, THE FUNHOUSE, a criminally underrated work too by the late Tobe Hooper.
When a former member of a religious cult dies in a mysterious accident, his wife Martha (Maren Jensen, Battlestar Gallactica), who now lives alone and close to the cult’s church, begins to fear for her life and the lives of her visiting friends (Susan Buckner, Sharon Stone). Strange and deadly events begin to happen… Could she be the target of the evil cult and its fanatical leader Isaiah (Ernest Borgnine)?

On her first date with Buzz (Cooper Huckabee, True Blood), Amy (Elizabeth Berridge, Amadeus) disobeys her father and goes to the carnival with Richie (Miles Chapin, Hair) and Liz (Largo Woodruff), but their first date may end up as their last. After witnessing a murder, the four terrified teens are trapped in the maze of the funhouse and stalked by a real monster, a horribly deformed killer who lurks among the freakish exhibits to butcher them one by one.
