APRIL FOOL’S DAY and THE TENANT Making Blu-ray Global Debut in Australia!

08 August 2019

Cinema Cult have just revealed that they will release the Fred Walton’s 1986 slasher classic APRIL FOOL’S DAY and Roman Polanski’s 1976 psychological debut thriller THE TENANT to home entertainment on September 4th, marking the global debut of both titles to Blu-ray!

When a group of college students decides to spend spring break at the secluded island estate of their wealthy classmate, Muffy St. John (Deborah Foreman), what starts out as a fun, hedonistic weekend turns into something more sinister. Muffy is very fond of practical jokes, and sets up numerous gags throughout her mansion. But, when friends begin going missing and turn up dead, they realize that they’re trapped on the isolated isle with a mysterious and brutal killer.
In Paris, isolated Eastern European émigré Trelkovsky (Roman Polanski) rents an apartment in a spooky old building whose inhabitants regard him with suspicion and even outright hostility. When he learns that the apartment’s previous tenant, a beautiful woman, tried to commit suicide by jumping out the window, Trelkovsky begins to identify with her in increasingly disturbing ways. Then, to make matters even worse, he reaches the conclusion that his new neighbours are plotting to kill him.

THE MONSTER SQUAD and MY BLOODY VALENTINE (1981) have also moved to the shelf date of September 4th and also joining them under the Cinema Cult branding are THE RING  (2002), THE RING TWO (2005), FATAL ATTRACTION and Don Siegel’s INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS, all of which will be released on Blu-ray & DVD!

Stay tuned in the coming weeks as we bring final artwork and specs for all of these releases!
