About CAT SICK BLUES:
Suffering a mental breakdown after the death of his cat, introverted loner Ted convinces himself that in order to bring his beloved pet back to life, he needs nine human lives to sacrifice. Constructing a cat costume, complete with mask and razor-sharp claws, Ted embarks on a murderous rampage. As the butchery escalates, a twisted and bleak romance blossoms between Ted and Claire, a young woman who has also recently lost her cat in a horrifying incident.

About FATAL VISIONS:
For years Michael Helms’ ‘FATAL VISIONS’ exposed audiences to the world’s most notorious psychotronic cinema. Now Helms is back, proudly presenting a bold new wave of Aussie exploitation. Deplorable, offensive, some might say dangerous – films that are proof positive that Australian cinema has a pulse.

FRIDAY FRIGHT NIGHT Screening:
As Monster Fest season draws near, Monster Fest presents a new season of Friday Fright Nights, monthly genre film screenings at the Lido Cinemas in Hawthorne beginning August 26th with the DVD & Blu-ray launch and screening of David Jackson’s Cat Sick Blues (Best Australian Feature at Monster Fest 2015). Jackson and “Catman” star Matthew Vaughan will appear in person for a Q+A moderated by Michael Helms (whose legendary Fatal Visions fanzine is the namesake of Monster’s new Fatal Visions sub-label championing new indie Aussie genre films), there will be a draw to win one of several amazing alternate posters made for the film’s crowdfunding campaign and we’ll have special event pricing on the freshly-minted Blu-ray ($20) & DVD ($10). PLUS – Come get your photo taken in our giant cat litter box!!
