Deleted Scenes

When his beloved sister is brutally murdered by three psychotic brothers out for kicks, Yakuza assassin Ichiro Kataki travels to Australia with vengeance on his mind. Carving his way through the Melbourne underground, Kataki slices, dices and shoots his way past murderous thugs, drugged-up outlaws and a kung-fu death cult. Kataki teams up with Cassidy Arizona, a one-eyed hooker with a double-barrelled shotgun and her own score to settle, for a climactic no-holds-barred showdown with the family of demented thugs. A tongue-in-cheek ode to the films of Seijun Suzuki, Takeshi Miike and Danny Boyle, MONDO YAKUZA is balls-to-the-wall action acid trip into the dag hanging off Melbourne’s seedy underbelly. Featuring multiple disembowelling’s, a Columbian necktie and a sparkler shoved where no sparkler has gone before, this film is not to be missed!

For years Michael Helms’ ‘FATAL VISIONS’ exposed audiences to the world’s most notorious psychotronic cinema. Now Helms is back, proudly presenting a bold new wave of Aussie exploitation. Deplorable, offensive, some might say dangerous – films that are proof positive that Australian cinema has a pulse.

MONDO YAKUZA arrives on DVD at retailers across Australia from Wednesday January 18th 2017.
