Ho-Ho-Horror Marathon hits Sydney

Head to the Randwick Ritz for its annual Christmas-horror themed marathon!

You better watch out! You better not cry! Graveyard Shift is coming to back to the Randwick Ritz on Friday 14th December!

Take a trip down memory lane as your hosts, The Podcast Strikes Back crew, present three of the most brutal, weird and hilariously terrifying “Holiday Horror” films ever made with GREMLINS, SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT and BLACK CHRISTMAS.

About The Films

GREMLINS (1984) – Directed by Joe Dante, written by Chris Columbus, produced by Steven Spielberg, this has all the makings of a big budget action adventure… But instead we get a terrifying holiday extravaganza! When Billy Peltzer’s father brings home a new pet, called a Mogwai, for Christmas,  he is told that are only three rules for caring for it. Rule 1. Don’t feed it after midnight. Rule 2. Don’t get it wet, and Rule 3. No bright lights. But rules are made to be broken and what is unleashed upon the small town of Kingston Falls is nothing short of gruesomely hilarious!

SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT (1984) – After seeing his parents murdered by a criminal dressed in a Santa costume right in front of him, a young boy is sent to an orphanage where he is abused by the nuns in charge. As a teenager, he gets a job as a department store Santa but when he sees two people having sex in the store it causes him to have a mental breakdown, pick up axe and transform into his own brand of Santa serial killer.

BLACK CHRISTMAS (1974) – He knows if you are sleeping, he knows if you’re awake, he knows if your alone or not, so be careful for goodness sake! During their Christmas break, a group of sorority girls are stalked by a stranger with murder on his mind in this Bob Clark (PORKIES, CHILDREN SHOULDN’T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS) ndirected yule-tide slasher.
