CINEMANIACS Reveal a Tobe Hooper Retrospective for January 2019!

22 November 2018

Melbourne film collective, CINEMANIACS announced their 2019 schedule over the weekend and audiences are in for a treat with three unique programs.

First up is a Tobe Hooper retrospective titled ‘My Family’s Always Been In Meat‘, taking place on January 11th & 12th and compromising of four feature screenings introduced by a range of Melbourne-based film historians, two dedicated lectures and a panel discussion.

CINEMANIACS’ second program for the year runs from February through June and is quite possibly their boldest yet, titled ‘It’s Enough to Make A Person Drink: Alcoholism In Film‘, it features THE ROSE with an Oscar-nominated performance by Bette Midler and Howard Hawks’ 1959 western classic RIO BRAVO.
